Prior to co-founding LawDocsXpress, Catherine Massey owned and managed Legal Resources, Inc., a legal staffing agency headquartered in Atlanta, for more than 18 years. Based on her knowledge of the legal community and the competitive challenges facing law firms, Massey developed the concept for LawDocs. It was Massey’s vision to deliver high quality legal support services securely via the Internet and thereby meet an industry need for more cost effective staffing alternatives.
Massey has more than 10 years experience in corporate management with an emphasis in human resources, including labor relations. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Massey is a recognized expert in legal industry workflow management and staffing and currently serves as a consultant to several law firms engaged in evaluating organizational structure and staffing.
Massey holds a B.A. from Duke University and a M.S. in Business and Public Administration from Georgia State University. She was a member of the organizing task force for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and currently serves on the CEI Advisory Board. She also serves on the working group charged with developing Duke’s global mission in entrepreneurship and innovation. Massey serves on the Board of Advisors to the Atlanta Chamber Players.
